Why Breakfast Is Important!

Why Breakfast Is Important!

Do you find yourself crashing every day? Even finding yourself relying on caffeine to pick you up mid-day?

Your breakfast could very much be affecting this drop in energy!

Why? Many of us have grown up with high carb (sugar filled), breakfast choices that we have become so accustomed to that we don't know any different. We have cereal, bagels, pancakes, and waffles that are SO delicious but might not be the best for energy! High carb and sugary diet can lead us to feel fatigued by the afternoon.

Carbs, specifically sugars, spike your blood sugar, which is why you can eat a yummy breakfast and feel amazing right after because the sugary carbs give you a quick boost of energy. But remember, what goes up quickly, goes down quickly, hence, why we crash after a stack of pancakes.

Well, how can we avoid this pesky crashing? First, pay attention to the foods you eat and how if affects energy levels, mental clarity, and focus within the first couple hours of consuming. Second, replace the foods that leave you feeling tired and sluggish and replace them with foods that provide sustainable energy. Fuel your body with with protein and complex carbs, along with fruit, if you desire something sweet in the morning! Lower carb, lower sugar diet could be the game-changer for your energy and mental clarity.

We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and we need to take that seriously since it's what sets up our whole day! Eating foods that make you feel strong mentally and physically will empower you to feel unstoppable.
